Cert. course on Handloom Entrepreneur

Applications are invited from the youths of weavers’ families for Certificate course on “Handloom Entrepreneur” to be started tentatively from February, 2016 in Indian Institute of Handloom Technology at Salem, Varanasi and Bargarh. The course has been designed with pragmatic approach to develop Handloom Entrepreneurs with required skill on technical as well as managerial matters and enable young weavers to enhance Entrepreneurship, Management and Computer skills and sensitize them on issues of Quality Control, Packaging, Zero defect and Zero effect besides some component of technical knowledge so that they successfully emerge as Handloom Entrepreneurs.

Eligibility 
The qualification of the applicant should be 10th Std and above. The applicant should have been deriving livelihood from weaving and his household should be able to support themselves during the period of course. Due preference will be given to women applicants and also diversity by admitting students from different States/ Clusters.

Age Limit
The age of the applicant should be between 18 to 30 years as on 31st December 2015.

Stipend & Other Allowances Each candidate admitted into the course shall be eligible for the following stipend and allowances.
a) Stipend @ Rs 210/- per day (Working days) for 4 months.
b) Lodging expenses @ Rs 200/- per day for 15 days during internship.

Photocopy of the following certificates are required to be submitted alongwith the application:
a) SSC/SSLC or equivalent examination marks list.
b) Marks sheets of Higher Qualifications
c) Cast/Community Certificate.
d) Proof for engagement in Handloom Weaving Profession.
e) Proof of Age (Birth Certificate or Transfer Certificate)

The application shall be sent in the enclosed format with self attested Xerox copies of the required certificates to one of the following address so as to reach on or before 22nd January 2016:
