M.Tech (CS) Part Time Programme Admission 2013

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following M.Tech (Computer Science) programmes of the institute at Mesra and its other Campuses for the session 2013-16

Duration: 3 year (6 Semester) M.Tech (CS) Part-Time programme 2013 offered at the Birla Institute of Technology, Jaipur Campus will commence in July 2013

On the successful completion of the 3 year programme, the students will be awarded the Master of Technology in Computer Science Degree

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must hold EITHER;

BE/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics Engg./Electrical Engg or equivalent or MCA with a first class or minimum 60% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in graduation/MCA

Or; M.Sc. in Computer Science or Equivalent with a First Class or minimum 60% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in 10+2+3 system from a recognized University

Sponsored: Candidates must have minimum 55% in average (45% for SC/ST) in B.E./B.Tech or equivalent/MCA/M.Sc

At least one year's experience is preferable; fresher’s without experience may also apply

Candidates should preferably be GATE qualified

Non-GATE candidates may also apply

However, preference would be given to the GATE qualified candidates

At any level of the studies (class X, class XII, graduation or post graduation), a candidate/applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same board/University

Reservations: The Institute will follow reservations as given below for its M.Tech (CS) programmes
The reservation criteria for SC/ST is as per the statutory norms of Central Govt (SC-15% & ST-7.5%)

Application Form:

Candidates in their own interest should send their completed application forms by appropriate means well in advance of the due date (preferably by means of which e-tracking is possible)

Applications reaching us after the due date are liable to be rejected/may not be processed

How to Apply

Candidate to apply for the M.Tech (CS) part-time programme 2013, eligible candidates must download the application form from our website and submit the completed application form at BIT Jaipur

A crossed demand draft of Rs.1200/- (Rs.800/- for SC/ST candidates) in favor of “Birla Institute of Technology”, payable at Jaipur

Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances)

Two recent color photographs one pasted on the form and one attached by clip to the form

Photocopies of all mark sheets and certificates see list of enclosures; send the completed application form along with all required documents and application fees demand draft in an A4 size envelope by Speed Post/reliable courier to the office of Director, Birla Institute of Technology, Jaipur Campus, 27, Malviya Industrial Area, Jaipur-302017 positively by the due date

Write “Application for M.Tech (CS) part-time-2013 on top of the envelope”

Incomplete applications or applications received without all required enclosures are liable to be rejected/may not be processed

Candidates should proceed to fill the Application Form for admission to the M.Tech (CS) part time programme only after they satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria

Candidates are advised to download the M.Tech (CS) Part-time programme information brochure 2013 (pdf) and read it carefully

Clearly fill all items that are relevant to you in capital letters or numbers or tick the check box/radio button as required

Certain items are mandatory and must be filled in; otherwise, the form may be rejected

Please ensure that all information provided is correct and accurate

Candidates who seek admission under any reservation category

All candidates belonging to the SC or ST categories must obtain caste certificates which should be in proper format, and which should be signed by appropriate authority of rank not less than SDO

They must enclose photocopy of the same

The final reservation proportion will depend on notification, if any, issued by competent authority and as accepted by the Institute

Candidates belonging to other special categories mentioned in Sec 6 (Physically Handicapped/Ward of BIT employee) must provide photocopy of certificate in proper format from appropriate authority
