Applications are invited for admission to the following courses offered by the Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar for the session 2013-14
Regional Institute of Education, Mysore, is a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India
The Institute is offering innovative Teacher Education Programmes in Science, Mathematics, English, Humanities and Education
The Institute is a recognized research centre for research in education, science and interdisciplinary areas
The Institute is affiliated to the University of Mysore which is a NAAC ‘Grade A’ accredited University
4 Year Bachelor of Science Education (B.Sc.Ed) (8 Semesters)
A pass in Hr. Sec. / PUC or equivalent examination with 45% marks in aggregate with subjects:
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for PCM Stream, and Physics, Chemistry and Biology OR Chemistry, Botany and Zoology for CBZ stream
4 Year Bachelor of Arts Education (B.A.Ed) (Eight Semesters)
A pass in Hr. Sec. / PUC or equivalent examination with 45% marks in aggregate and with English, Regional Language and any two subjects: History/ Geography/ Economics/ Political Science / Sociology
6 Year Master of Science Education (M.Sc.Ed) (12 Semesters) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
A pass in Hr. Sec./ PUC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate and with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
One Year Master of Education (M.Ed) (2 Semesters)
A pass in B.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. / B.A.Ed. or equivalent degree with 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates with a PG degree will be given appropriate weightage
Diploma Course in Guidance and Counseling (DCGC)
One year DCGC is offered through distance mode

General:
Admissions to B.Sc.Ed., B.A.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes are restricted to candidates having domicile in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and the Union Territories of Puducherry and Lakshadweep, asper the quota earmarked for each State and UT
Admission to the M.Sc.Ed is open to candidates of all States and UTs of India
Domicile is determined based on the State/UT from where the candidate has passed the qualifying examination
Children of Defence Personnelmust produce employer’s certificate from the concerned Officer at the time of applying for admission
Selection for all programmes will be on the basis of Marks obtained in the qualifying examination Medium of instruction for all the programmes is English

Reservation:
In each programme, the following reservations are available: SC-15%; ST-7.5%; OBC-27% and PH-3% and any other reservation as Government of India norms as applicable from time to time
Candidates applying under reservation quota will be considered only on the basis of the list notified by the Government of India and the community certificate/PH certificate in the format approved by the GOI and issued by the respective State

Tuition Fee: As per NCERT rules, a tuition fee of Rs.250/- p.m. will be charged from every student admitted, SC/ST students are exempted from payment of tuition fee
University fees: As prescribed by the University of Mysore at the time of admission
Hostel Charges: Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are available on the campus
An amount of Rs.2, 000/-towards hostel charges per semester and an amount of Rs.8, 000/- towards mess deposit per semester will be collected
How to apply: Separate application is required for each programme and stream / subject within a programme
Requisition for application form should be sent to the Section Officer (Academic Section), Regional Institute of Education, Mysore-570006 accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft from any nationalized bank for Rs.500/-for each application (Rs.350/- in case of SC/ST candidates), drawn in favour of the Principal, Regional Institute of Education

Payment will note be accepted in the form of Money Order or Cash or Postal Orders
Application form can also be downloaded from the website www.riemysore.ac.in or www.ncert.nic.in and sent along with the demand draft in favour of Principal, Regional Institute of Education, Mysore - 6, along with a self-addressed envelope bearing Rs.10/- postal stamp
The duly filled in application form along with attested copies of certificates should be sent to the Section Officer (Academic Section), Regional Institute of Education, Mysore 570006 on or before 01st July, 2013
