Army has announced important details about the 219th Technical Graduate
Course scheduled from July 2014. Here are some of the key details that
aspiring candidates need to know.
Indian
Army (IA) have issued updates about the 119th Technical Graduate Course
(TGC) scheduled from July 2014. The announcement also included the 2nd
notification about the TGC 2013.
The Technical Graduate Course is
open for male candidates willing to join the Indian Army on permanent
commission. Successful candidates who complete the course are awarded
with direct entry to the Indian Army.
As per the details published by the IA, TGC 119 will commence in July 2014. Total number of vacancies stand at 100, out of which 20 are in Army Education Corps while 80 are for Engineering graduates.
The age of candidates applying for Army Education Corps must be between 23 to 27 years, meaning they must be born between July 2, 1987 and July 1, 1991. However, those applying for Engineering Graduate posts must belong to the 20-27 year age group (born between July 2,1987 and July 1, 1994).
- The TGC Engineering Graduate post is only available for engineering graduates who have cleared or appearing in final year of B.E or B.Tech program from a recognized university. However, candidates seeking entry to the Army Education Corps must have a post graduate (PG) degree in English, History, Economics etc.
Admission
to Technical Graduate courses will be entirely based on a merit list
prepared according to the marks obtained by candidates in their B.E or
B.Tech programs. All candidates whose applications forms are accepted,
will be shortlisted. Following that, those who make it to the merit
list, will be called for SSB interview. After passing the SSB interview,
the candidates will be put through extensive medical exam which he must
clear in order to get admission into the Indian Military Academy.
Last date to apply 14 December 2013 for both TGC (Engineering Graduates) and Army Education Corps (M.A./M.SC.).
