PG Diploma Admissions 2014

C-DAC opens admission to different PG Diploma courses (full-time 6-month courses) commencing from February 2014. The courses have been detailed below:

Common Eligibility Criteria for all the PG Diploma Courses of C-DAC:

Graduate in Engineering or equivalent (e.g. BE/ BTech/ 4-year BSc Engg/ AMIE/ AIETE/AMIETE/ DoEACC B Level, etc.) in Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer Science/ IT or related areas OR Post Graduate in Engineering Sciences (e.g. MCA/ MSc Engg/ MSc (CS, IT, EE, Electronics, Instrumentation, etc.)
Candidates who will be appearing or have appeared for the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2013 will also be considered for admission to the above courses. By qualifying in C-DAC's admission tests of December 2013, these candidates can apply for provisional admission subject to the condition that:
(a) All parts of their qualifying degree examination shall be completed by the date of joining the course, and
(b) Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with at least the required minimum marks shall be submitted at C-DAC by 30 April 2014.

How to Apply:

All PG Diploma courses (admissions) of C-DAC will only be done through C-DAC's Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT). Candidates have to apply for C-CAT online at www.cdac.in.

C-CAT Schedule:

C-CAT for admission to the February 2014 batch of PG Diploma courses will be held on 8th Dec 2013 and 15th Dec 2013.
Cities where C-CAT will be conducted in December 2013: 
Agartala, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Dhanbad, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Karad, Kochi, Kolhapur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Secundarabad, Solapur, Thiruvananthapuram and Vishakhapatnam
C-CAT Application Fee:
The basic application fee for C-CAT would be Rs. 1000/- and thereafter Rs. 100/- for every course opted in the online application. 
Hence the application fee for one course will be Rs. 1100/-, for two courses Rs. 1200/-, and so on.
After filling the online application form, the application fee may be paid online OR in cash through the 'Make Payment' step on the main menu of the online application.
No cheque or demand draft (DD) will be accepted towards payment of C-CAT application fees.

Online: 

The application fee can be paid using both credit and debit cards through the payment gateway provided along with the online application. 
Candidates are advised to follow the instructions/steps given therein, and also print/keep the transaction details for their records.

Cash: 

The application fee can also be paid in cash at any of the C-DAC centres or C-DAC's Affiliated Training Centres (ATC). 
After filling the online application, the applicant should print the form and submit it personally along with the fee (in cash) at any of the C-DAC training centres on or before the last date of application.

Admission to AICTE and AIU approved 2 year full time residential course PGDFM 2014-16
Admission to the fully residential two year PGDFM is open to graduates from any discipline provided he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria and qualifies through the selection process
Eligibility: Applicants should have at least a 3 year bachelor’s degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with a minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/DA) or equivalent CGPA
Candidates appearing for the final year graduation examination are also eligible to apply provided they complete it before 30th June, 2014 and fulfill the eligibility criteria as set by IIFM
Reservation: 15%, 7.5%, 27% and 03% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, Non-Creamy-OBC and DA (also referred to as Persons with Disability) (PWD) respectively, provided they meet the minimum selection criteria as specified by IIFM
Fees: IIFM provides high quality education at reasonable cost and total fee for the entire program is Rs 4,00,000/- for General/OBC/DA and Rs 2,40,000/- for SC/ST candidates
How to apply: Apply and appear for CAT exams
IIFM will use CAT score only for short listing the candidates
IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme

Applicant, while submitting the downloaded form must enclose a demand draft of Rs 900/- (Rs 450/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management, payable at Bhopal
Obtain the form personally or by post by sending a demand draft of Rs 900/- (Rs 450/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management, payable at Bhopal
Obtain the form by paying Rs 900/- (Rs 450/- for SC/ST) in cash from IMS Learning Resources Pvt Ltd
Candidates procuring the form through the above institution should enclose the photocopy of the cash receipt issued by the coaching centre while submitting the form
Group Discussion and Interview:
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of CAT score, will be called for group discussion and Interview at Bhopal, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata based on the choice of candidates, as mentioned in the application form
However, IIFM reserves the right on the allotment of choice of centre to the candidates

Indian Army TES 2014 Notification (10+2 Technical Entry Scheme-31)

Indian Army invites online applications from unmarried Indian Male Candidates for Technical Entry Scheme Course-31
Commencing from July, 2014
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in before 22nd October, 2013 at (1000 Hrs.) and will be closed on 29th November, 2013 at (1000 Hrs)

Eligibility

Nationality: A candidate must either be (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 01st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the exam provisionally subject to the necessary certificate being given to him by the Govt before declaration of result by SSB/joining training
Age limit: A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years on the first day of the month in which the course is commencing i.e. the candidate should not be born before 01st January 1995 and not after 01st January 1998 (both days inclusive)

Education Qualification:

Candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised education boards are eligible to apply for this entry
Eligibility conditions for calculating % of PCM will be followed as per the present guidelines/instructions in vogue of various state/central boards
Vacancies: 85 Posts
Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training capacity at the training Academy for this course

Training:

Total training will be 5 years, for details as under:
(a) Basic Military Training:  1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya), (b) Technical Training: (i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune, MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad), (ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune, MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad, (c) Award of Degree: The candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful completion of training as given out in para 6 (a) and (b) above
No ante date seniority will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree
In case they fail to qualify in the following year exam the same will result in loss of seniority to them and they will forfeit seniority to the extent of delay in passing engineering degree examination
If they fail to qualify even within three years of their commissioning, their commission will be terminated

Selection Procedure:

The selection procedure is as follows:
(a) Short listed candidates will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at Bhopal, Bangalore or Allahabad. Interviews will be held in February/March 2014 onwards
(b) Duration of SSB interviews is five days excluding day of arrival. During their stay at SSB, Candidates are put through psychological Test, Group test and Interviews
(c) Candidates will be put through stage-I of the selection procedure on the first day. Only successful candidates shall be retained for balance of the testing. Candidates who fail to qualify in stage-I, will be returned on the first day itself, Stage-I are psychologically originated test including intelligence test
(d) Successful candidates at the SSB will be required to undergo medical test lasting 3 to 5 days less Sundays and gazetted holidays
(e) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available
(f) The finally selected candidates will execute all the Bonds/Certificates as prescribed for the Cadets of NDA entry under Al 53/78
(g) Candidates appearing for SSB interview for the first time for a particular type of commission shall be entitled for AC III tier to and fro railway fare or bus fare including reservation cum sleeper charges within the Indian limits. Candidates who apply again for the same type of commission will not entitled to travelling allowance on any subsequent occasion

After submitting online application, candidates are required to obtain two copies of the application printout and the Roll Number generated by the system
One copy of the print out application duly Signed and affixed photograph attested by a gazetted officer of Central/State government Photocopies of Class 10th Certificate/Mark sheet showing date of birth and 12th Class Certificate along with mark sheets duly attested by Gazetted officer are to be forwarded to “Additional Directorate General of Recruiting (Rtg-6), TES Section, West Block-III, R.K Puram, New Delhi-110066” by Regd Post or Speed Post
